What We Believe
The Bible- We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Trinity- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 1:8; 9:14; 1 John 5: 6-8; Genesis 1:26; John 1:14; 10;30)
The Lord Jesus Christ- We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Luke 1:31-35; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Romans 5:1, 8-10; 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 22-24; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)
The Holy Spirit- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is sanctified and enabled to live a godly life in this present evil world. (John 16:8, 13-14; Romans 6:6, 11; 8:9 Galatians 5:16, 25; Ephesians 1:13; 4:30)
Sanctification- We believe that for salvation of the lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Titus 3:5)
The Resurrection- We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation. (Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; Revelation 20:11-15; Luke 13:23-28; 2 Thessalonians 1:9)
Spiritual Unity- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
Great Commission- The mission and commission of the Church, which is Christ's body, is to proclaim the message of reconciliation and to endeavor to make all men see the hope of salvation and need to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior. (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 10:9-15; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
